Case Study Flokk House | How a 3D Virtual Tour Replaced a Physical Showroom
In the B2B world — and especially in commercial interiors and workplace design — traditional sales presentations keep hitting the same wall. Picture trying to show a client dozens of office furniture models: in a boardroom, a canteen, a lobby, and at individual workstations. Flying clients into a physical showroom is expensive and slow. A PDF catalog can’t convey scale or atmosphere. PowerPoint slides stopped impressing anyone years ago. Here’s how deploying modern 3D technology can completely reshape a sales process and take the decision-making risk off a client’s shoulders.
Our case study here is Flokk House — an interactive 3D virtual tour we built for Flokk, a leading manufacturer of ergonomic office furniture. It’s a clear example of how advanced office interior visualization becomes a real, everyday tool for a sales team — not just a marketing showpiece.

The Challenge: Showcasing an Entire Collection in a Single Meeting
Flokk, working with architects from Built Arkitekter AS, designed a model, multi-purpose office. The brief was clear: build a space that could present the brand’s exceptionally broad product portfolio across realistic, varied settings — open-plan zones, private offices, lobbies, modern canteens, and conference rooms.
The core challenge was building a sales enablement tool that reps could actually use in client meetings — no physical showroom visits, no printed catalogs, no location constraints.
The Solution: From Static 3D Renders to an Interactive Virtual Tour
The Flokk House project ran in two complementary phases, each serving a different presentation goal:
- Phase 1 — Static 3D Renders and a 3D Floor Plan
Work started with photorealistic 3D renders of each office zone, plus a rendered 3D floor plan of the entire level. This gave the client and the architect a full view of the layout before the virtual tour even launched — and produced static marketing assets that were later used in printed brochures and on the website.

- Phase 2 — The Interactive 3D Virtual Tour
Next, the visualizations were turned into a full 3D virtual tour — accessible directly in a browser, with no software install required. We chose this format for its ease of use and because it needs no dedicated hardware.
Users can move freely between points in each room and explore every space at their own pace. The key feature: dedicated info-tags placed next to individual furniture pieces. Clicking one brings up full product specs along with a direct link to the configurator on Flokk’s website. So a client doesn’t just see a chair or a desk in context — they can immediately check available variants and configure the product on the spot.

The Results: A Sales Tool the Team Actually Adopted
With some hindsight, this interactive showroom for a furniture manufacturer delivered exactly the results the client was after. Feedback pointed to three consistent themes:
- Faster sales cycles: The gap between presentation and purchase decision shrank considerably. A business buyer who can see a product in the context of a full office zone — and jump straight to the configurator — decides faster.
- Stronger sales presentations: Reps gained a tool they can open on a tablet or laptop in any meeting, in person or online, and instantly “take” a client into a model canteen or lobby.
- High adoption across the sales team: The tool was adopted widely across Flokk’s sales department. Reps report that the 3D virtual walkthrough makes conversations noticeably easier to run and gives them a real edge over competitors.

Key Takeaways
The Flokk House project shows that a 3D virtual tour is more than an attractive visualization — it’s a genuine business tool. Combining photorealistic graphics, free-roam navigation, and interactive product data gives sales teams something no catalog can match: the ability to bring a client straight into the showroom, wherever either of you happens to be.
